Matthew Hawke is a rule breaker. He uses multiple mediums to represent his fascination with the creative process, creating works that blur the lines between photography, sculpture, and object. The essence of his work is the journey of identity. He documents people, places and objects as a print-maker and writer. In exhibiting his work he invites audience members to reflect and discover new aspects of their own identity.

Matthew lives and works in Queenstown and has recently exhibited at Studio One Toi Tu.
