Riley Claxton

Riley Claxton poses questions around chance and order, addressing the separation between intelligent design and random encounters. His images explore the nature of reality in a digital world, exploiting the language of the camera to produce an augmented reality.  

 

Riley Claxton is a creative tutor at the Toi Ohomai institute of technology in Rotorua. He was the recipient of the Barefoot and Thompson prize in the Glaister Ennor Graduate Art Awards in 2015. Claxton has a research-based practice that seeks to question the way we see and comprehend time.
