Richard Adams

Seeking beauty in the imperfect, Richard Adams studies the effects of deterioration and physical change such as rust, decay, and erosion.  His compositions are driven by the landscape but also by abstraction, which allows him to focus on textures and patinas that suggest the passage of time.

Adams lives and works in Auckland. His work has featured in Art New Zealand, and has exhibited widely throughout New Zealand and internationally.
